Roughly 1 million people live with ulcerative colitis (UC), a complex inflammatory bowel disease. Our primary goal was to empower these individuals by developing a branded website, featuring the product's name, indications, and attributes, to enhance patient education and provide essential resources.

In the final stage, our team unveiled Winston, a character representing the struggles of ulcerative colitis, as part of the brand team's "Help Calm the Chaos of UC" campaign. This endeavor enabled Velispity to redefine pharmaceutical websites through user-friendly designs, intuitive navigation, and engaging layouts.

Translating the brand campaign into a engaging digital experience

We began our project by establishing a solid foundation with the initial UX wireframes. These wireframes helped us create the platform's structure and layout, keeping the unique needs of ulcerative colitis patients in mind.

Building on this groundwork, we explored dark mode designs inspired by modern websites and startups, giving our platform a sleek and contemporary look. Throughout the process, we focused on optimizing user experience with easy navigation, quick access to resources, and a unified brand presence. Our ultimate goal was to provide comprehensive support for the ulcerative colitis community and empower patients to confidently manage their condition and lead more fulfilling lives.

Here are some homepage iterations, allowing us to refine the overall design before applying it to the entire site. We worked closely with the team and client, addressing their preferences and ensuring brand consistency throughout the process, evolving from a full dark mode to the current design.
