Approximately 1 million individuals live with ulcerative colitis (UC), navigating a complex journey of diagnosis and treatment that considerably affects their emotional well-being.
Our UI design team's goal was to create a mobile app with customized tools for daily support, cultivating a sense of community, and offering resources to manage individual experiences. By addressing the emotional impact of UC, the app intends to improve patients' overall quality of life, promote emotional balance, and empower individuals in taking control of their well-being throughout their unique journeys.

Throughout this process, we aimed to maintain feasibility within the established guidelines while pushing the boundaries of the brand and look to create a one-of-a-kind app experience. Once the design foundation was set, we proceeded to delve into the features and functionalities of the app.
To guarantee an optimal and personalized user experience, our design process consisted of two sprints. The initial sprint concentrated on refining the app's overall look and feel in adherence to Apple and Android design guidelines, as well as in collaboration with the brand team. This allowed us to align the design aesthetics with their vision, ensuring the tone matched their desired brand guidelines.
The LivingWith™ UC app was designed following Apple and Android guidelines for seamless integration and intuitive user experience. Its comprehensive features, such as symptom tracking, diet-specific recipes, meal monitoring, and mental wellbeing resources, empower UC patients to manage their condition daily, address their holistic needs, and connect with a supportive community.
