HOKA, a brand recognized for its innovative and high-performance running shoes, introduced the Bondi 8 as part of their Fly Human Fly Campaign. Our team was tasked with developing creative mockups and web guidelines for both the Bondi 8 and Mafate campaigns, focusing on desktop and mobile optimization. The goal was to ensure a unified and captivating presentation on the website.

My responsibilities included designing homepage hero variations for men's and women's versions of both Bondi 8 and Mafate campaigns, covering launch and sustain phases. By creating visually engaging content for both phases, we aimed to build an immersive digital experience that resonated with HOKA's target audience and effectively communicated the unique identities of the Bondi 8 and Mafate within the Fly Human Fly Campaign.

The HOKA team provided a reference images featuring a vibrant gradient background, minimalist text, and a prominent product image. This visual direction helped guide our team in crafting an engaging and cohesive digital campaign for the Bondi 8 and Mafate shoes.

Iterations

To maintain HOKA's "Fly Human Fly" message for Bondi 8, we experimented with pre-existing UI kits and brand guidelines during the iteration process. Through trial and error, we pinpointed the most effective design elements that upheld HOKA's brand identity while enriching the user experience.

Throughout Bondi 8 iterations, I focused on refining designs to create a visual journey. By preserving structure and incorporating elements like gradients and the bird logo, the final design captured Bondi 8's essence within HOKA's Fly Human Fly Campaign.

In the Mafate iterations, we prioritized optimizing the sustain phase while maintaining the overall structure from the launch. This strategy enabled us to deliver a unified, engaging experience showcasing Mafate's unique identity within HOKA's narrative.

Harmonizing visual aesthetics and user engagement

The final design successfully combined HOKA's unique brand identity with a user-friendly interface for the Bondi 8 & Mafate campaigns. We incorporated visually striking elements such as the bird, representing motion and progress, along with eye-catching gradients and typography that complemented the campaigns' core messages.

We created an immersive digital experience that resonated with HOKA's target audience and effectively conveyed the unique identities of both the Bondi 8 and Mafate within HOKA's brand narrative.
